Project
The Villas at Harbor Island is a 55-unit residential development housed in five buildings on 5.4 acres facing the Atlantic Ocean. Each building has a basement and two stories. The buildings are framed of light-gauge steel and concrete/masonry including precast pre-stressed concrete planks for supporting floors and balconies. The original construction in the late 1990s included a veneer of EIFS.
Services
Berman & Wright services included a diagnostic evaluation of water intrusion sources and building deficiencies through limited destructive testing, moisture surveys, window testing, evaluation of Project records, and building code requirements; cost analysis of remediation; and litigation support.
