Located directly across from the Statue of Liberty, with skyline views of New York City, Port Liberte is a 17–building, 225–unit gated community comprised of mid–rise and townhome units. Buildings are clad with a variety of brick, EIFS, and fiber cement cladding.
Services
Berman & Wright’s building diagnostic professionals performed in–depth evaluations of water intrusion and building deficiencies through limited destructive testing, moisture surveys, and window spray testing procedures. These tests were performed on windows and doors, fluid applied balconies, attics and fire separations, and the community’s exterior cladding.
Further involved in the project, Berman & Wright evaluated project records and building code requirements to discover each deficiency present within the community. This process was followed by litigation support in favor of the community.
Berman & Wright’s forensic architecture professionals provided the client with professional design and construction administrative services to address life and safety issues affecting the residents in the Port Liberte community.
