Project
The Rialto-Capitol Condominium buildings were constructed in the early 1930s as a hospital. All facades of the building have brick, terra-cotta and concrete veneer. The buildings contain a total of 315 residential units. The Rialto is a 22-story structure with 164 residential condominium units. The Capitol is a 21-story structure containing 151 residential condominium units.
Services
Berman & Wright is involved as a building envelope consultant during the extensive renovation project to correct the original construction deficiencies and resulting damages. Berman & Wright also performed an independent analysis of the numerous impacts on the project and provided interior and exterior site investigations of the properties, analysis of project records, and litigation support
Additionally, Berman & Wright developed comprehensive architectural construction drawings, specifications and construction cost estimates, and provided construction administration for the implementation of repairs needed to correct the problems.
