Project
The project consists of ten buildings containing twenty-six condominium units and a community clubhouse situated along the Intracoastal Waterway in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The exterior claddings were hard-coat stucco. Berman & Wright observed and documented locations where the integrity of the building envelope was compromised due to construction practices not in accordance with the relevant. Additional code violations were discovered during investigations, including ADA violations at the Clubhouse and fire suppression system deficiencies within the community.
Services
Berman & Wright performed an independent analysis of the numerous impacts on the project and provided interior and exterior site investigations of the properties, analysis of project records, litigation support assessment of liability and entitlement regarding numerous design and construction issues, and assessment of the final project value and damages. Berman & Wright presented its expert opinions at negotiations and mediations. Litigation support is currently ongoing.
